Fair Use and Copyright Law
Are you aware of the laws defining what you can and can't reproduce to use with your classes? While many publishers have relaxed some restriction with permissions during the pandemic, most are tightening restrictions back up and may start pursuing copyright infringement cases again.

Make sure you know when, what, and how much content you can copy and use in class. Check out the below presentation or just ask Mrs. M.

March's Educator's Book of the Month:
Like many of our students, Omar is a Somalian refugee . He's living in a Nigerian camp struggling to keep himself and his brother fed, clean, and safe while dreaming of an education and emigration to a safe society.
In this colorful coming of age graphic novel, enjoy Omar's strength and determination to achieve what so many take for granted, clean water, enough food, and access to education. |
January's Educator's Book of the Month
The Smartest Kids in the World and how they got that way by Amanda Ripley
Follow three American teens as they are embedded in schools in three different countries that have radically improved the quality of education in recent years. What are Finland, Poland, and South Korea doing that even our highest tech schools in the best neighborhoods aren't? Why are their test scores climbing while students in America seem to fall further behind? How are their teachers enjoying a higher quality of life, including salaries of up to four million dollars a year? What, if any, successful practices from these countries can we include in our classrooms?
